One of the overlooked stories of the Los Angeles Auto Show was the unveiling of a special edition Mustang made to commemorate the Mustang Club of America. For the 2011 Mustang model year, the Mustang Club Of America Edition package will be available on Mustang V6 coupes and convertibles.

The package includes specific visual appearance items including a billet aluminum style grille, lower fog lamps, and a unique stripe on the sides. At the rear of the car you will find a black-out trim appliqué between the tail lamps and a deck lid spoiler. Additionally, a set of upgraded 18” aluminum wheels round out the package.

The 2011 Mustang Club Of America Edition is the first of its kind for Ford to officially offer for the club which will celebrate its 35th Anniversary this year. The special edition features the new for 2011 3.7 liter DOHC V6 engine with a tire smoking 305hp. The new engine sets the bar higher for Mustang entry level models.

The Mustang Club Of America Edition will be available nationwide through all Ford dealerships when the 2011 Mustang goes on sale. Not only did the car appear at the Los Angeles Auto Show but we actually saw a silver one in person at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Collector Car Auction event..
