All new mustang fr500s race car to be produced

Another big announcement by Ford this week at SEMA is they are putting into production an all-new Mustang FR500S race “spec” car at their AutoAlliance International Flat Rock, Michigan assembly plant.

Another big announcement by Ford this week at SEMA is they are putting into production an all-new Mustang FR500S race “spec” car at their AutoAlliance International Flat Rock, Michigan assembly plant.  This Mustang FR500S is basicallly a team effort between Watson Engineering in Taylor, Michigan who is doing final interior work and ROUSH who will fine tune (dyno) the 4.6-liter 3-valve V8 engine being produced by Ford in Romeo, Michigan.

The Ford Mustang FR500S race cars will be available from dealers at around $75K.  The FR500S is intended for on track racing in the all-new Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup that will be held at Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City, Utah.
