It’s what 5.0 Magazine & Super Fords is calling a dream tour and rightfully so because anybody who is a Mustang fan would give just about anything to tour Ford’s Romeo Engine Niche Line and see how the Shelby GT500’s engine is built through all phases of assembly. 5.0 M&SF was lucky enough to get the opportunity to follow the GT500 engine from it’s start as a fresh cast-iron block on the Romeo Engine Niche Line to it’s finish at the Auto Alliance International assembly plant where it’s mated with the body to make a complete Shelby GT500.
The whole process is covered through 100’s of high-resolution photos with captions and a few videos. You will be amazed by how many quality photos and captions 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords has about the engine build process. It took awhile to go through all the photos and the article but it was well worth it to learn exactly how the GT500 engine is built and mated to the body.
