A few brave thieves made off with a new blue 2008 Shelby GT from a Vancouver Ford Dealership the other night making it look like child’s play.




A few brave thieves made off with a new blue 2008 Shelby GT from a Vancouver Ford Dealership the other night making it look like child’s play.  Dealership employees noticed the keys to a Shelby GT were missing while they were closing up so they secured the dealership parking lot with what looks to be a baby gate.  Come to find out the keys were stolen during the day and the theives returned that night to steal the car.  To get the Shelby GT out of the parking lot the thieves took another vehicle and rammed the baby gate opening the lot up.

One question I have is, if you noticed the keys were missing why not block in the Shelby GT thus avoiding a stolen vehicle.  Another observation is the gate securing the lot, does that not look ridiculous to secure a parking lot full of brand new Ford’s with.  The Ford dealership made it a little to easy for the thieves.  Another funny thing is Vancouver Police want the public to call if they see a similar car, I wonder how many calls they will get of people spotting blue Shelby GT’s.  Check out our disclaimer and baby gate photo after the jump…
